Rond 21:35 uur kwamen een automobilist en een scooterrijder met elkaar in botsing, wat leidde tot een harde val van de scooterrijder. De politie en ambulancedienst waren snel ter plaatse. Het slachtoffer is ter plekke onderzocht door het ambulancepersoneel, maar vervoer naar het ziekenhuis bleek uiteindelijk niet noodzakelijk.

Getuigen meldden dat de scooterrijder een flinke schuiver maakte. Daarnaast stond er een verkeerspaal scheef na het ongeval, maar het is niet duidelijk of de scooterrijder deze paal heeft geraakt. De politie heeft meerdere verklaringen van betrokkenen en omstanders opgenomen om de toedracht van het incident te achterhalen.
