De kaartverkoop voor het nieuwe seizoen van het Stadstheater Zoetermeer verloopt voorspoedig. Inmiddels zijn er 60.000 tickets verkocht voor voorstellingen die vanaf eind augustus op het programma staan. Daarmee loopt het theater ruim voor op het verkoopaantal van vorig jaar, toen deze mijlpaal pas in oktober werd behaald.

Het theaterseizoen begint eind augustus, met de eerste grote voorstellingen in september. De programmering bestaat uit een breed aanbod van theatergenres, waaronder cabaret, toneel, muziek, dans en familievoorstellingen. Volgens het Stadstheater is er sprake van een opvallend vroege belangstelling van het publiek.

Het Stadstheater Zoetermeer programmeert jaarlijks tientallen nationale en regionale artiesten en gezelschappen. Daarmee is het theater een belangrijke culturele voorziening voor de stad en de regio. Bezoekers kunnen ook dit seizoen kiezen uit zowel bekende namen als nieuw talent.
