Door Danique Mater

Op vrijdag 10 oktober wordt Zoetermeer een stukje schoner. Dan vindt de eerste editie plaats van Zoetermeer in 1 Dag Schoon, een grootschalige opruimactie waarbij meer dan tweeduizend mensen samen de wijken ingaan. Scholen, bedrijven en buurtbewoners trekken eropuit met grijpers, handschoenen en vuilniszakken om samen zoveel mogelijk zwerfafval op te ruimen.

Iedereen kan meedoen: van jong tot oud, zolang er minstens twee personen per groep zijn. Deelnemers bepalen zelf waar en wanneer ze aan de slag gaan. Alle materialen worden gratis verstrekt en na afloop weer opgehaald.

Met behulp van de Rubbiz-app wordt bijgehouden hoeveel afval er wordt ingezameld. Zo wordt duidelijk welke impact de actie heeft en gaat er tegelijk steun naar een goed doel.

De organisatie wil van Zoetermeer in 1 Dag Schoon een jaarlijks evenement maken dat de stad verbindt en laat zien wat mogelijk is als iedereen samen de schouders eronder zet.
