Door: Danique Mater

Op zaterdag 27 en zondag 28 september verandert Zoetermeer in een levend theater tijdens het gratis Festival Historisch Zoetermeer. In het Buytenpark staat de geschiedenis centraal, met oude ambachten, historische muziek, straattheater en zelfs een spectaculair riddertoernooi. Tussen 10.00 en 17.00 uur kunnen bezoekers ontdekken hoe de duizendjarige historie van de stad tot leven komt.

Schrijvers en verhalen

Een opvallende blikvanger dit jaar is de grote circustent. Geen clowns of acrobaten, maar schrijvers en uitgevers die hun verhalen delen. In de Schrijverstent ontmoet je onder meer Celtica Publishing, Project Dizary en Sophia Drenth. Van fantasy en sciencefiction tot interactieve Dungeons & Dragons-avonturen: hier stap je rechtstreeks nieuwe werelden binnen.

Markt en lekkers

Naast verhalen is er genoeg te proeven en te beleven. Bij de horecatenten haal je koffie of mede van Mederij Marcus, of kies je voor een stevige maaltijd van Viking Voer en Medieval Catering. Voor zoetekauwen is er schoorsteenbrood van Kürtőskalács Benelux. En op de markt wacht een mix van ambacht, kunst en lekkernijen: van handgemaakt leer en sieraden tot fudge en magische decoraties.
