In de flat aan het Hoevenbos in Meerzicht zaten bewoners op donderdag 29 september van 11.00 tot 19.00 uur zonder water. De storing trof zowel de huurders van woningcorporatie De Goede Woning als de kopers die onder hetzelfde dak wonen.

Om 12.00 uur kregen bewoners een melding van KPN dat er tijdens werkzaamheden kabels waren geraakt. Over het waterprobleem kwam er geen bericht vanuit de woningbouw. Pogingen om De Goede Woning telefonisch te bereiken, liepen op niets uit. Via het noodnummer werd duidelijk dat netbeheerder Stedin bezig was met herstelwerkzaamheden.

Volgens bewoners hadden zij vanuit de woningbouw te horen gekregen dat Stedin contact zou opnemen, maar dit gebeurde niet. De informatie over de oorzaak en duur van de storing bereikte de huurders uiteindelijk via de Vereniging van Eigenaren van de koopwoningen, die hun bewoners per mail op de hoogte stelde.

Na acht uur, rond 19.00 uur, kwam het water terug.
