In de Dorpsstraat wordt woensdag 17 september de jaarlijkse Prinsen & Prinsessen Dag georganiseerd. Tijdens dit evenement kunnen kinderen in prinsen- of prinsessenoutfit een speurtocht doen langs verschillende winkels. Daar ontmoeten zij verklede sprookjesfiguren en kunnen zij een handtekening op een speciaal formulier verzamelen.

Vanwege de weersverwachting vindt de activiteit dit jaar binnen plaats. Het deelnameformulier is verkrijgbaar bij Shakes2go. Daarna kunnen deelnemers een route volgen langs onder andere ’t Dierenparadijs, Electroworld Van Dijk, Silvester, Patat & More, Party Point, Rico’s Hovenstein en ’t Nestje. In elke winkel is een prins of prinses aanwezig om kinderen te ontvangen.

De dag start in de middag en deelname is gratis. Kinderen kunnen onderweg foto’s maken met de sprookjesfiguren en maken kans op een prijs voor de mooiste outfit. Met de activiteit willen de ondernemers de Dorpsstraat op een laagdrempelige manier onder de aandacht brengen.
