Op 25 december, 1ste kerstdag kwam er een melding dat er in een woning op de Natuursteenlaan in Zoetermeer een brand zou zijn.

Ter plaatse bleek er in een woning inderdaad wat te branden waarbij er rook naar buiten kwam. De bewoners konden gelukkig zelf het pand verlaten maar zijn door een opgeroepen ambulance wel nagekeken. De brandweer heeft onderzoek gedaan en heeft de slangen uitgerold en de brand geblust. De woning is daarna geventileerd. De brand lijkt te zijn ontstaan in de keuken. Wat er precies in brand heeft gestaan is niet bekend.

Directe omwonende hoefde gelukkig hun huis niet uit omdat de brand snel meester was. De politie heeft een deel van de Natuursteenlaan afgesloten voor al het verkeer.
Familie leden blijven bij de kinderen en de woning waarna één bewoner voor onderzoek is meegenomen naar het ziekenhuis. Stichting Salvage zal de bewoners helpen met de afhandeling van de brand.
