Zoetermeer organiseert op 13 oktober haar allereerste korenfestival en roept alle koren op om zich aan te melden voor deelname. Vanwege de verwachte grote belangstelling en beperkte ruimte zal er een selectie plaatsvinden. “We hopen natuurlijk dat iedereen zich aanmeldt, maar we hebben slechts plaats voor 16 à 20 koren op een dag,” aldus de organisatie.” Aldus Cultuurmakelaar, Sven Ruggenberg.

Om zoveel mogelijk koren de kans te geven deel te nemen, is het hele Stadstheater afgehuurd. In de middag zullen de geselecteerde koren gratis voor elkaar optreden om inspiratie op te doen en van elkaars muziek te genieten. In de avond volgt een grotere show waarvoor bezoekers een kaartje moeten kopen.

Met deze unieke opzet hoopt het festival een platform te bieden voor zowel ervaren als beginnende koren om hun talenten te tonen en nieuwe contacten te leggen in de koorwereld.
