Stelian Lacatus, de accordeonist die al jaren dagelijks muziek maakt op de Mandelabrug in Zoetermeer, vraagt de gemeenschap om hulp. Hij heeft een hernia en moet worden geopereerd, maar heeft geen zorgverzekering. De kosten van de ingreep bedragen 2500 euro.

Lacatus is afkomstig uit Roemenië en is geen onbekende voor veel voorbijgangers in het Stadshart. In 2023 deed hij eerder een oproep via het Streekblad om geld in te zamelen voor de begrafenis van zijn zoon, die in 2022 overleed aan kanker.

In Roemenië bestaat geen verzekering zoals in Nederland, en Lacatus valt buiten het Nederlandse zorgstelsel. Donaties om zijn operatie mogelijk te maken zijn welkom.
